It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of brunch. During the week, I rarely eat a big breakfast as I’m always getting the boys ready for school, running out of the house, and then back again to squeeze as much work in as possible before picking the boys up again. But the occasional weekday brunch with a close friend or leisurely weekend breakfast indulgence with my boys is definitely at the top of my list of favorite things to do.
Getting Local Recommendations
After posting a question on a community Facebook group about where to get the best brunch and breakfast in San Miguel de Allende, the response was incredible. So much so that I needed to share all the local recommendations—it didn’t seem fair to keep it to myself!
Whether you’re in search of that perfect avocado toast, a decadent buffet, a bottomless brunch, or a Mexican twist to your classic eggs benedict, San Miguel de Allende won’t disappoint. And while “best breakfast in San Miguel de Allende” can be highly subjective, what’s undeniable is the passion and love these establishments pour into every dish.

Now, a quick heads-up: We haven’t personally tasted the delights of every single one of these breakfast and brunch spots (although that’s a challenge I’m willing to accept!). These recommendations come straight from the hearts and kitchens of San Miguel’s residents.
